Ulcerative Colitis with Chronic Pancreatitis

Abstract
Ulcerative colitis apeears most often in patient of middle age but many occur at early age. The
etiology is unknown, but psychogenic disturbances seem usually to be important factor.
It is also well known that the process was accentuated by pregnancy in young woman. Frequent
complications of ulcerative colitis are perforation with peritonitis, abscess, venous thrombosis, poly
arteritis, thromboangitis and malignant change, but pancreatitis is rare.
Authors had experienced a case of ulcerative colitis, lesioned at descending colon, with chronic
pancreatitis in middle aged pregnant woman who was surgically treated with good result.
